One Soldier. One Story. A Thousand Hearts.

How to Donate to Ukraine Safely

How can you donate to Ukraine safely? Start with a question that is easy to overlook: who will receive the money, and what exactly will it support?

Choose the kind of help you mean

Humanitarian relief, medical care, assistance to displaced families, and direct support for one person are different causes. Before giving, read the purpose of the appeal. A personal request should never be confused with an official charity or military fundraiser.

Check the recipient

Visit the recipient’s official website directly. Check the name, payment destination and available background information. If an organization claims to be registered, look for its registration details and reports. If an individual asks for help, look for a consistent personal account and a clear explanation of the need.

Protect your payment

Review the amount, currency and any bank conversion fees before confirming. Never send a card PIN, password or one-time security code to anyone arranging a donation. If something feels rushed or unclear, stop and verify it.

Give only if you feel comfortable

You do not owe anyone an instant decision. You can also help by sharing a verified story or supporting a trusted local organization. Compassion should not depend on pressure.

A personal note from Petro

I am a Ukrainian soldier. On my website, I share my personal story and an appeal for my medical treatment and recovery. It is not a general Ukraine charity or a collection for military equipment. I want readers to understand that distinction before deciding whether to support me.
