Can a small donation make a difference? Learn why modest gifts can help, and why giving should never be pressured. There is no single answer for everyone, but a thoughtful choice can begin here.
Small is not meaningless
A modest contribution may help pay part of a real expense, but its effect depends on the need and the total cost. No honest appeal should promise that every small gift solves a large problem.
Your own needs come first
Do not sacrifice rent, food or essential family expenses to make a donation. The amount you can afford does not measure your compassion.
Ask what the money supports
Look for a clear purpose and updates when costs become known. If a budget is not yet confirmed, the recipient should say so.
Why I ask
I am Petro, a Ukrainian soldier seeking help with personal medical treatment and recovery. I value people who take the time to read and understand my story, whether or not they choose to contribute.
