Maybe you came here with a simple question: where can I do a good deed and help someone in Ukraine?
My name is Petro. I am a Ukrainian soldier, and I want to tell you about the person behind this appeal.
Why I am asking
After years of military service, I need support for my own treatment and recovery. It is not easy to ask strangers for financial help. I know everyone has responsibilities and worries of their own.
But there comes a time when even a person accustomed to helping others must admit that he needs help too.
What does a good deed look like?
Sometimes it is something very small: taking a moment to listen, sharing a story, or making a donation when you can afford to.
I do not want to make you feel guilty or promise that one donation can change everything. I only want to be clear about why I am here.
Donations through the link below are requested for my personal medical treatment and recovery, not for military vehicles or equipment. This is a personal fundraising appeal, not a donation to a registered charity.
A person behind the uniform
Before war, ordinary life seemed ordinary. A peaceful morning, familiar voices and the ability to plan tomorrow were things I rarely stopped to think about.
Now I understand their value differently.
If you live in the United States, Britain or elsewhere in Europe, we may never meet. Yet you can still make a difference in one person’s life.
Read my story. Share it if it moves you. And if you can comfortably offer support, I will be grateful.
Thank you for considering a good deed for someone you have never met.
