When people see a soldier, they often think of strength. They rarely think about the moment that soldier needs to ask for help.
My name is Petro. I am a Ukrainian soldier. Today I am speaking not about vehicles or military equipment, but about my own need for treatment and recovery.
The person behind the uniform
A uniform does not show everything a person carries. It cannot tell you how much someone misses an ordinary day or how difficult it can be to admit that health needs attention.
After years of service, I am trying to take care of myself. And I need support to do that.
How can you help a Ukrainian soldier?
There are many ways to help people affected by war. You can volunteer, support trusted organisations, share personal stories or make a direct donation to an individual whose appeal you understand.
My request is personal and specific: I am seeking contributions toward my medical treatment and recovery.
This Monobank appeal is personal; it is not a registered charity donation, and the funds requested here are not for vehicle repairs or military supplies.
Why even a small act matters
I cannot promise that a donation will solve everything. Recovery takes time, care and patience.
But kindness can make a difficult journey feel less lonely.
Perhaps you arrived here because you searched for a way to do a good deed. Perhaps you are simply curious about the story of one Ukrainian soldier.
Whatever brought you here, thank you for reading.
If you cannot donate, sharing my story is also a meaningful act of support. Please never give money that you need for yourself or your family.
Behind every uniform is a human being. Today, this one is asking for a little help.
